From Confessionals to Content: How PPG is Nailing the Influencer Life

Thanks to Giovanna, I feel like I spent a majority of my summer watching (and constantly quoting) all the iconic moments from the show. Seriously, it’s been crazy! But on a more serious note, let's dive into PPG—Serena, JaNa, and Leah—and how they’ve pivoted and been presented as public figures since the show ended.

Now, I’ve watched multiple seasons of this show over the years—UK, USA, and even a bit of Australia—but I’ve never seen contestants get this much attention after the show. It’s on a whole different level! For starters, Leah hit 1 million followers on Instagram before she even left the show. Then, she became the first of the cast to snag an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, attend NYFW and rub shoulders with the who’s who of Calabasas (where she’s from).

Serena - who won the show- landed a shoot with Essence magazine and collaborated with Cecred, she’s currently on the Faded family brand trip in Bermuda and there’s rumors of a Fenty collab in the works. Meanwhile, JaNa has been making waves too, with Aveeno inviting her to the US Open. And let’s not forget the big campaign: all three girls and their significant others starred in a national commercial for Dunkin' Donuts! Plus, they’ve all signed with some of the top agencies in the US, which pretty much guarantees we’ll be seeing a lot more of them.

What’s been undeniable since the show is how real, raw, and unapologetically themselves they are. It’s that authenticity and the sisterhood they have displayed on and off screen of continuously showing up and showing out for each other, from JaNa with the receipts, real housewife style, at the reunion to defend Leah and Serena to Serena helping Miguel surprise Leah for her birthday, this all continues to resonate with fans, making people love them even beyond the screen. They’re not just riding the wave of post-show fame—they're actively building their own brands, and they’re doing it on their own terms. Is this the path we will be seeing more reality tv stars take in the future?
