Cachet Connects: Creators x Brands

In the creator and brand world, it's easy to stick to what you know. For as long as we can remember, we see the same collaborators, the same circles, the same faces at the same table. Which works, until it doesn't. We seem to forget that some of the best ideas and partnerships come from connections you didn't see coming, and at times, those don't happen by accident. They happen when someone puts the right people in the same room, like we did.

On May 20th, Cachet opened its doors for the return of Cachet Connects: Creators x Brands edition. The intention was simple, to put the right people in the same space and let the energy do its thing. Not another event where everyone leaves with a stack of business cards they'll never look at again, but an actual evening for intentional conversations between people who genuinely have something to say to each other, and that might actually lead somewhere.

So of course, we transformed our office into the experience we needed it to be, every branded detail in place for when our guests walked in. The press room (housed in our conference room) doubled as a content space where you could slow down, and get creative. Custom Cachet Connects print newspapers were spread across the table alongside a vintage typewriter, a rotary phone, and a wall lined with inspiration. It was the kind of cachet corner that made you want to linger.

Before stepping outside, guests could help themselves to wine and bubbles from Ôde Vie, and delicious bites from La Bouchée Divine. And when you finally made your way to the terrace, DJ Star Q was already there waiting with the right vibes and every cocktail table was topped with conversation starters for those new connections that just need a little nudge.

It was important to us that everyone walked away from our event with more insight to how brands operate. Along with aesthetic photos and a new TikTok reel, we wanted them to leave with an  honest perspective from people who've been in this industry and can speak from experience. Since nobody needs another hour-long conversation that loses them halfway through, we kept the panel intentionally short and casual. Gabrielle Nasri (Co-Founder, Mange Tout Montréal) and Manuel Mathieu (Multidisciplinary Artist and Creative Lead at Manuel Mathieu Parfums) both came at it from a brand perspective with zero interest in sugarcoating anything; the good, the frustrating, what actually works and what the industry doesn't talk about enough.

What stayed with us was what people kept saying after, that this felt like what was missing from every other event they go to, that they left with connections that actually meant something and that it didn't feel superficial. That's not something we take lightly, because it's exactly what we set out to build. We’ve had the opportunity of learning that some of the most exciting things happen when you get out of your usual orbit, so we plan to keep creating that space. We're just getting started.
